Understanding how FutureX Platform handles tracking technologies and your browsing data
What This Policy Covers
FutureX Platform uses various tracking technologies to make our financial forecasting tools work properly and to understand how people interact with our services. This policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them.
When you visit futurexplatform.com, small text files get stored on your device. Some help the site function. Others collect information about your browsing patterns. We think you should know exactly what's happening behind the scenes.
Types of Tracking We Use
Not all tracking serves the same purpose. Here's how we categorize the technologies on our platform:
Category | Purpose | Can You Disable? |
---|---|---|
Essential | Required for basic site functionality, login sessions, and security features | No - these are necessary |
Functional | Remember your preferences like language settings and dashboard customization | Yes, but your experience may suffer |
Analytics | Help us understand which features get used most and where people encounter problems | Yes - use the button above |
Marketing | Track effectiveness of our educational content promotion across different channels | Yes - use the button above |
Essential Technologies We Can't Disable
Some tracking is genuinely necessary for the platform to work at all. Without these, you couldn't log in, save your forecasting models, or maintain secure sessions.
- Session management: Keeps you logged in while you navigate between budgeting tools and forecasting models
- Security tokens: Protect your financial data from unauthorized access and prevent cross-site attacks
- Load balancing: Routes your requests to the right server so your dashboards load quickly
- Form submission: Remembers what you entered if a page needs to reload
These essential technologies last only as long as your browsing session or 24 hours maximum. They don't track you across other websites and contain no personal identifying information beyond what's needed for basic functionality.
How Analytics Help Improve Our Platform
We use analytics to figure out what's working and what isn't. For instance, if most users abandon the budget planning tool halfway through, that tells us something needs fixing.
The data we collect includes things like which pages you visit, how long you spend on different features, what device and browser you're using, and whether you're accessing from Malaysia or elsewhere. We don't connect this to your name or email unless you're logged in and using personalized features.
In 2025, we've been particularly focused on understanding how people use our new cash flow forecasting module. The analytics show us where people get stuck or confused, which directly informs our development priorities.
Marketing and Third-Party Services
When we promote our learning programs or new features, we sometimes use tracking to see which messages resonate with which audiences. This helps us avoid sending irrelevant content to people who won't find it useful.
Some of this tracking comes from third-party services that help us manage educational content distribution. These services have their own privacy policies, which we've vetted but don't directly control.
- Email campaign tracking to measure which topics generate the most interest
- Content recommendation engines that suggest relevant tutorials based on your usage patterns
- Conversion tracking to understand how people discover our platform
You can opt out of all marketing-related tracking using the button at the top of this page. This won't affect your ability to use any of our financial planning tools.
Taking Control of Your Privacy
The simplest way to manage tracking on FutureX Platform is clicking "Decline All Non-Essential Cookies" above. This removes analytics and marketing tracking while keeping the essential functionality intact.
Your browser also gives you broader control. Most modern browsers let you block third-party tracking entirely, clear existing tracking data, or browse in private mode where tracking gets deleted when you close the window.
For browser-level controls: Look for privacy or security settings in your browser menu. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all offer cookie management tools. You can block specific sites, delete all tracking data, or set up automatic deletion.
Keep in mind that aggressive blocking might break some features. If our budgeting calculator stops saving your inputs or you keep getting logged out, it might be because you've blocked functional tracking that the platform needs.
Data Retention and Deletion
Different types of data stick around for different lengths of time. Session data disappears when you log out. Analytics data gets anonymized after 90 days and deleted entirely after 26 months.
Marketing tracking typically expires within 12 months, though some campaign data might persist longer in aggregated, anonymized form for historical analysis.
If you want everything deleted immediately, contact us at contact@futurexplatform.com with your account details. We'll process deletion requests within 30 days, though some data might remain in backups for up to 90 days for technical reasons.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when we add new features or change how we handle data. The last update was in March 2025 when we revised our analytics retention periods.
We'll notify active users by email when significant changes occur. The notification includes a summary of what changed and why, so you don't have to read through the entire policy again unless you want to.
Previous versions of this policy are archived and available on request if you need to see what our practices were at a specific point in time.
